Booking BE step by step

Create PNR using standard Amadeus entries. Include sell seat, name, received from, contact (phone) and ticketing field.

  1. Passenger name registration: Using the NM1 entries or, if a profile has been created, the corresponding entries PDN/- PBN/-

  2. Include the required mandatory PNR elements to finalise and generate the Amadeus Reference Number:

    • Contact (AP)

    • Ticketing Time Limit (TK) (seats can be reserved for up to 24 hours). Bookings will be automatically cancelled once the time limit is exceeded, resulting in an HX status.

    • Agent (RF)

    • SRCTCE-test.email//gobrightline.com,  one email is mandatory. Traveller email is strongly recommended. If agency email is used, please advise the end customer to register during the check-in process. Without the passenger email, the traveller will miss disruption notifications and may not be able to claim for compensation in case of delays and/or cancellations.

    • Seats: Seats are automatically assigned, and selecting a specific seat is not possible. However, passengers can indicate a preference for a window or aisle seat by specifying it in the booking. ST/W, window or ST/A, aisle. The coach number and assigned seat will appear when the PNR is closed and recovered: SSR NSST BE KK1 WPTRRN/C00215A/S2 , (e.g. Coach 2, Seat 15A ). The passenger will be allowed to change seat at no cost during the check-in process depending on tariff and OD pair (see details at Boarding Pass Retrieval)

  3. Complete booking using the usual form of payment and e-ticketing entries.

    • FP CASH (!!We are working to enable CC soon in the US!!)

    • FV BE in case of selling in the US via ARC accreditation, valid only for standalone segment sell. In case of interlining and/or sales outside the US via BSP accreditation, please use FV HR (Hahn Air).

  4. To price bookings use FXP.

    • It is best practice to have one passenger per PNR but if for any reason you opt to have a multi-passenger booking, all e-tickets must be issued together in the same e-ticketing entry (e.g., FXP/P1-3).

    • Don’t forget to check fare notes, specifically penalties.

Booking Child and Infants

Child fares are available in Smart classes (not in Premium). If a child ticket is required in Premium, they will need to pay the adult fare. Amadeus will automatically quote a child in the normal way if indicated by (CHD) in the name field. Alternatively, the manual entry FXP/RCH can be used to price.

Please note:

  • Children between the ages of 3 and 12 years old inclusive qualify for a child fare.
  • A child under 24 months old does not need to be included on your booking and will not require a ticket to travel on the Brightline. However, he or she will not be allocated a seat and will be required to sit on the lap of a parent or guardian.
  • If an allocated seat is required for a child under 3, when making the reservation you must state the child as being at least 3 years old, otherwise Amadeus will only offer an Adult Fare.
  • Remember: For multi-passenger bookings all ticket numbers must be issued before ending the transaction. To ensure this happens, use the pricing entry FXP/P1-3
