PBSO THERAPY DOGS VISIT BRIGHTLINE WEST PALM BEACH FOR WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY
West Palm Beach, FL (October 12, 2026) — In recognition of World Mental Health Day, Brightline welcomed therapy canine teams from the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office (PBSO) to Brightline West Palm Beach Station on Oct. 9 and 10. Guests and teammates had the opportunity to meet and interact with the specially trained therapy dogs throughout the station during the two-day activation.
The visits highlighted the important role therapy dogs play in supporting emotional well-being, strengthening community connections and assisting first responders. Established in 2020, PBSO's Therapy Canine Unit has grown to 14 certified canine-handler teams. All of the dogs are rescues that have undergone specialized training and certification to provide comfort and support in a variety of community settings.
As therapy canine teams moved throughout the station, travelers and Brightline employees stopped to meet, pet and engage with the dogs, creating moments of connection and relaxation in recognition of the global observance focused on mental health awareness.
The activation was part of Brightline Cares, the company's corporate citizenship program, which supports initiatives that promote community engagement, well-being and positive social impact throughout the communities Brightline serves.
