Brightline Ranks No. 59 on Inc. Magazine’s List of the Southeast Region’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies
Companies on the 2024 Inc. 5000 Regionals: Southeast list had an average growth rate of 166.43 percent
MIAMI (February 27, 2024) – Inc. magazine today revealed that Brightline is No. 59 on its fourth annual Inc. 5000 Regionals: Southeast list, the most prestigious ranking of the fastest-growing Southeast private companies based in South Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Arkansas, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Florida, and Puerto Rico. Born of the annual Inc. 5000 franchise, this regional list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the Southeast economy’s most dynamic segment–its independent small businesses.
The companies on this list show a remarkable rate of growth across all industries in the Southeast region. Between 2020 and 2022, these 223 private companies had an average growth rate of 166.43 percent; by 2023, they’d also added 20,496 jobs and $8.8 billion to the region’s economy.
“Brightline’s launch to Orlando represents a historic milestone that is shifting perceptions of what it means to travel by train in America,” said Brightline CEO Michael Reininger. “We’re proud of what we’ve built in Florida and see Brightline West as the nation’s blueprint for how to build high-speed rail and connect city pairs that are too short to fly and too far to drive.”
In April 2023, Brightline unveiled its Orlando Station inside the Orlando International Airport, the only intercity passenger rail station located in a U.S. airport. Brightline launched service to Orlando, connecting two of Florida’s most desired travel destinations, Central and South Florida, in September 2023. This marks the biggest development in American train travel in over 100 years. And, in December 2023, The Biden Administration and the U.S. Department of Transportation announced that the Nevada Department of Transportation was awarded $3 Billion in federal funds for the Brightline West Las Vegas-to-Southern California high-speed rail system.
Brightline's success in Florida serves as the blueprint for high-speed passenger rail in the U.S. Its upcoming project, Brightline West, aims to establish the nation's first true high-speed rail network. This venture will feature fully electric trains reaching speeds up to 200 mph, connecting millions of travelers between Los Angeles and Las Vegas each year.

More about Inc. and the Inc. 5000 Regionals
Methodology
The 2024 Inc. 5000 Regionals are ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2020 and 2022. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2020. They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2022. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2020 is $100,000; the minimum for 2022 is $1 million. As always, Inc. reserves the right to decline applicants for subjective reasons.
